This problem is more common than you might think. It turns out that the headphone port also handles signals from your remote control, like Vol Up, Play, Pause, etc. If you have a faulty headphone jack, your laptop can think you've pressed the Play button, triggering iTunes to open.

The only answer is to get your headphones repaired or replaced :s

Similar story for me. I only ever go to the pubs near the office, which aren't that nice to be honest. The local rarely gets a visit. I'd probably go more if they get a proper selection of real ales instead of £6 German lager :-O

We just got back from a trip to Colorado, where we went trail #running at an amazing place called Devil's Thumb Ranch. Check out the pics!

Interesting piece in the NYT about the demise of the traditional English pub. I think there's more to it than gentrification though. The problem affects all British cities, whether they're prospering economically or not. Oversupply is probably the major issue to be honest.

Do you still frequent your Local or has it closed down? We go to our local occasionally, but in #London it's more common to go to a pub near your workplace with colleagues.

There have been so many good movies out lately. Twelve Years a Slave was the most powerful film I've seen in years. Inside Llewyn Davies was enjoyable in a harmless kind of way. Whereas this Scorsese flick about Jordan Belfort was outrageously entertaining.

Is it morally acceptable to celebrate villainy? There's no point in pretending The Wolf of Wall Street doesn't do that, and pretty emphatically too :)
